Sparkly morning

Hopefully we won't have too many more "sparkly" mornings.

Winter Sense, eh? Hmmm

Your Winter Sense is Sight

You are a very visual person, and some of your strongest memories are around things you've seen in your life.

You simply like the way winter looks. This season may seem dead to most people, but it's very alive to you.

You enjoy all the sites of winter - from starry winter nights to dancing holiday lights.

You think this is the most beautiful time of the year. Snow makes everything a little more magical.

Pearl is one of my nicknames

But I don't really think this fits.

You Are a Cream Pearl

You are emotionally stable and serene. You have cultivated gratitude and peace in your life.

You are both intensely alive and totally easygoing. You roll with the punches.

You are good natured and purposely try to keep things simple. You deflect drama.

Friends turn to you during times of trouble. You are optimistic and reassuring.

More Snow

What was pretty and enchanting in December is getting awfully old in February. *sigh* Another ten inches yesterday and today. I moved the sled from its ornamental spot in front of the studio barn up to the garage. It may come in handy!

A first: Getting to watch one of the nieces choose her wedding gown. It was great to be there with her folks and my mom and great-nephew Caleb.

Heat Wave

We didn't have a January thaw this year, but we surely had a February one. We hit 55 degrees F two days in a row. Living on the farm you can see upclose the joys of a thaw . . . the fields lose their water and it comes rolling through to the drainage ditches. Unfortunately, one of the tiles in the field is broken, so I get a lot of water. Fortunately, the tiles in the yard were routed a oouple of years ago and the lake has subsided.

You Are a Down to Earth Dreamer

Just because you're practical, it doesn't mean you don't dream.

You just like to put your dreams into action more than most people.

At first you dream big, but then you stop and think... Can your dream actually be achieved?

You're willing to rethink and refine your dream until it is possible. And then you go act on it!

February Confession

Mourning doves calling make me sad, as does a certain wind through the trees.

Snow Day!

We didn't get near as much snow as predicted here in mid-Michigan, but with the winds and drifting I'm doing a snow day thing. This picture was taken on Sunday, before the snow hit.

My project for the day is working in the pantry. You know how that goes, storage places tend to get out of whack if not checked frequently, and mine has piles of things that need to be organized. It's been fun!

Going to go look for the groundhog (we call them woodchucks) this afternoon!!
