Fuel stop

Car is in the shop again. They gave me a loaner and a voucher for $15 for gas. There is an intermittent problem that only happens in cold weather and only until the car is warmed up. Bless their hearts for trying to find this issue.

New project

Take a selfie and all the bathrooms I have to stop in throughout my life. This one was at Discount Tire. Had a flat yesterday but it's all fixed now.

Up In Michigan

We went up to East Jordan for the first time in probably 4 years this weekend. My nephew drove my sister and my mother and I and so I got the great opportunity to ride in the back which I never get. I could get used to being chauffeured around I do think. It's a lot of fun to just play when the camera

Midnight Musings

And so I wonder how you are tonight.  Are you sleeping easy, your ribs almost mended?  Is the gin still your nursing bottle, or has that pain eased also? Do you think of me?

Hope and dream

Oh no! It looks like hope and dream are in the trash. Must change the symbolism and find a new place for hope and dream. The age of 64 seems like senior year in high school. Saying goodbye to old ways and preparing for new habits.

Cheddars meal

A lovely dinner at cheddars last night. White fish, ginger rice, and a mixed green vinaigrette salad. My friends Debbie and Carla and I are going to enter a film festival this year. That was our fun topic of discussion.

My life is a Beatles song

When I'm 64. Song came out 49 years ago and it seemed like that age was forever but here we are.

Clearing

Farmer John has been clearing the scrub trees that have almost taken hold around the farmstead and down the South Road. I like trees but scrub trees are nuisances and it's good to see them going. I guess there's going to be one heck of a bonfire in the spring.

Moon

Little Moon in the sky and the little lights on the wall garden. Dusk was very pretty tonight as I took out my Curby. I still love my Curby.

Comfort food

My go to comfort food is Governor's Chicken which I have only been able to find at the Apple Jade restaurant. I have eaten there for years. They know when I come in that I want a bowl of wonton soup and Governor's Chicken. While it is spicy, it still soothes an upset stomach. If I am tired it gives me a pick up.

What is your go-to comfort food?

The Autumn of My Days

Autumn is here this year and I find the time now is
the autumn of my life.

There WILL be apples this year

598 to 65

598 to 65.  It's true.

In 598 days I will be 65.  I'm beginning to think I'm going to make it to retirement age, so I'm marking the moments!

I like to set projects for special times.  I'm developing projects for each of the 100 days before the momentous event.  The first 100 days is dedicated to completing a novel I started ten years ago, called the Pink Rose.  (Alternate title, Hop Into Hope.) I am also going to revisit my violin.  (It is a good thing I live a 1/4 mile from any of my neighbors.)

The Best is Really yet to be!!!!

A little mumbling

Grumble grumble fuss and budget.  Sheesh.  Some people's children.  Argh.
