Christmas Carol in Old Town

Old Town is the oldest section of Lansing. It's a resurgent area, recently winning IKEA's small business contest. It's the home of many small shops and galleries. Saturday they staged a Victorian Christmas. One never knew who one might meet coming down the street.

Blue Skies

chilifest07

This is just so unusual for us. We've had blue skies more often than not this June. Other than the big rainstorm last night, it has been blue skies and smooth sailing for ever so long.

This is the Lansing Center, where a Chili Cookoff took place last Friday night. emmmm good!

Just wanted to mark the moment.

Ruins

warehouseruins
We have ruins in Lansing. This historic warehouse burned a few months ago. The fire department is still trying to determine how the fire started, so it stands as is near downtown. A small set of pictures of the building is here.

Monday, Monday

Not only does my cat fetch, he also gallops. He can pussy-foot when he wishes, but when he's playing, it is galloping that he does.

Rainy Days, and Mondays. Got 'em both this morning. Guess it's better than snow.

Aunt N. is in Sparrow Hospital. I used to live in the parking ramp of the hospital. Well, not IN it, but our house was where the parking ramp is now. Saturday I drove up to the fifth floor so I could get some pictures of Lansing. Unfortunately, the weather was damp and gray/grey.
