New Year. New Coach. New WINNNING season! I was at the game. Penn State v Michigan State, two venerable old land-grant colleges. Always a great game, always cool to see old JoePa pacing the sidelines. Penn State has great fans, fun fans, and one year, the dude ahead of us was funny and looked like Mel Gibson. (My nephew doesn't remember that, but I shirley do.) We were down for most of the game, but came back in the end to win it.
Look out next year Big 10!
I am hoarse today.

Just what I needed to satisfy my football depression.

Go Green!
And at the half it is Michigan State University 17, Iowa 3. We do need this win.
Edit: Oh gosh, I really wish I hadn't said that. It's the end of the third now, and 17-17.
Edit II: Drat. Lost in double over-time, 34-27. We still are lousy closers.

First Loss
Well, my keeping quiet about Michigan State Football didn't work today. We lost a very close one to Wisconsin. We're still having penalty troubles. *sob*

MSU wins, UofM Doesn't
I forgot to say "Go Green" yesterday with the start of Michigan State University's football season. Perhaps I'd better not say it this season . . . we won!
And in a stunner: University of Michigan, our nemesis to the south of us, lost. Wow. I hit a link from Susan's blog and got an eyeful on that game from the winners' perspective.
