A new Tradition?

babys first christmas tree

Seventeen years ago Mom had us plant Christmas trees out at the farm. They grew like Topsy, without much supervision. We're harvesting the giants little by little, and plans are underway to add new trees next spring.

Picture is of my niece and husband, with their baby's first Christmas tree!

Ooh, that sounds very nice! Your very own Christmas Tree backyard! Or rather, farm. :D Well, I wish we can get a Christmas tree too, but my mother would probably have a fit and ask "Is there going to be a time where you are not going to bring a stray home?"...Hmm...

I love it! I've enjoyed your Flickr photos as well. So you buy little bitty trees in spring to plant? You could also make a ton of money growing Christmas trees.

Mum and Dad have had the same plastic tree for as long as I can remember. They tried a real one but it was too messy for Mum. :)
We have a little one in a pot at home but it hasn't survived the drought very well. Looks kind of sick :(

oh Tien, your mom WOULD have a fit with this big of a tree!

Thanks, Susan! We planted these seventeen years ago, and they were little bitties. We plan on planting little bitties each year, plus some mid-size to keep things moving. We probably have too many family members to be able to sell many, *grin*

Messes are fun at Christmas, Julie. But my mom has had a plastic one for quite awhile now.
