Hey Shirl, ok your prompting brought back this tree memory. My grandparents kept a really sterile environment in their house with a plastic slip covered sectional sofa and everything was so neatly kept and organized. The only Christmas tree I ever remember at their house was one of those gaudy artificial aluminum needled trees that looked like tin foil. It had branches that poked into the center core with no filler in between branches whatsoever. It was a homely little thing but my most magical Christmas memories were those spent daydreaming under the lights and revolving color wheel at Nana & Papa's wondering what was in the packages that were under the tree from the day it was put up until Christmas Eve when we got to find out. I've had some really sad trees over the years but none that stick in my mind like that one does.
