The project and the problem

My October project WAS going to be to dig up the 50-year-old iris that reside next to the field north of the house. They have been there so long that weeds have grown up in and around them. I was going to make the bed nice.

Well, I've got to back up a few steps now.

Some of the weeds are poison ivy, and I'm again nursing welts and sores.

The life of a farmer. It's tough.

The project and the problem

And I think you should join in the 365 days project. You can post up to 7 pics at a time, as long as they're taken each day. Not that I'm pressuring you or anything.....

I have never been able to identify poison ivy....though I have been told that I was near it many times.

judging by the capitalised "was", i supposed things didn't really go as well as you planned huh? but i admire your spirit though. i always keep procrastinating. somehow, procrastination seems easier than getting the job done...lol!

I do have big mucking boots, but this time I got it on my wrists and arms. Next time, long sleeves and boots, clean with alcohol when done, wash clothes immediately, shower gently. Argh.

It doesn't always look viny, which is what messes me up, blue.

And tien ... I SHOULD have procrastinated. Now the job is only half done.
