Restorative

any time copy

When I need to relax, I go to Lake Michigan. Do you have a place that by its very essence calms you, makes you happy?

anywhere there's an ocean, or a country river, or up in the hills - anywhere the people are few, if any at all.

Near the Rivers for me...

Yates Cider Mill is close by so for now that seems to be my place.

Julie's answer fits me too.

Even if you're amidst hell on Earth, I think happiness needs to come from within.

But I totally get the concept of a physical location that helps soothe the mind and soul. I so easily find that in Alaska. Doesn't take much at all to go somewhere you can sit all day and never see anyone. Doesn't take much where you can go and sit for a week and never see anyone! Talk about peacefulness!

I thought you would be "Rivers", Diane, and I love your answer, Julie! I agree about happiness, aka, and yet, most religions have a concept of "retreat". Alaska sounds wonderful.
