We usually have quite mild weather here in mid-Michigan. Yesterday was one of the exceptions.
Tornadoes ripped through the area. Four miles south of me, homes were destroyed. In South Lansing, tornadoes or high winds cut a path along Miller Road. My old apartment lost several roofs. My mother has two very large branches down. Wow!

oh dear, that sounds serious. you having any major problems there?
Yikes! Dramatic weather. Central NY was also experiencing some, but no tornadoes that I know of.
Wild weather can be scary. And destructive. Mother Nature fighting back.
I had to take back my comment about it being a sissy storm and felt bad after reading the news...
Just a few miles from here (Troy) the winds were pounding but here it was no where near what I have seen in the pass, it was rather calm.
Strange how weather works when it is in a frenzy.
I think the thing with tornadoes is that they can be so fickle. This one hit at the southern end of my road (which turns out to be six miles). The damage was very severe on the south side of the road, but nothing on the north side. Same thing in Lansing. Miller Road was the targeted road. My mom lives just a quarter mile down from Miller road, and she only lost a few branches. Just north of Miller Road looked like a war zone.
Nature. Mighty powerful!
